Miss sushi Japanese

We accidentally discovered Miss Sushi Japan today and it turned out to be such a gem! The poke bowls were absolutely delicious — honestly, some of the best we’ve ever had, even compared to places we tried in Asia. What impressed us the most was the warm, family-like atmosphere. The team, originally from Nepal, treats every guest with genuine care and attention. A very touching moment was when the waiter learned that my wife is pregnant and made sure to cook the fish specially for her, so everything would be safe. That level of thoughtfulness is rare and truly appreciated. Highly recommend this place — we’ll definitely be coming back and telling our friends. A wonderful café with amazing food and even more amazing people!

Great experience! Lama was very kind to me and helpful with deciding what to eat. The food is fresh every morning and many ingredients are imported from Japan, he stays away from cheap alternatives. The style is more traditional and simple with subtle flavouring and minimal sauces and toppings, he’s proud of his food and it shows. I must say as a Japanese person, I was pleasantly surprised. Most places get the rice wrong, here it was good.

This place is AMAZING!!! We stayed at the hostel across the street and walked over for the convenience of a close restaurant only to be surprised by the best sushi I’ve had in my life.. and at the most affordable price.. it almost felt wrong to pay so little for such good quality and a very fair quantity. We were so in love with the place we came back 4 times within our 3 day stay at the hostel. Not only was every meal consistently fresh and noteworthy of its pure and simple ingredients that make true authentic sushi, the hospitality was what kept us coming back as well. One of the owners (I wish I got his name) was so kind everytime we came in, offering us free warm tea on a cold rainy day, and even making us homemade Ramen off their “secret menu” on a cold rainy evening. The warm environment that him and his team created really made this place feel like home. I will always crave their sushi and poke bowls knowing it really doesn’t get much better than this place, truly a HIDDEN GEM. 🙌🏻

Really fresh fish and lovely people. So good that we came 2x on a 3 day stay in the area. Love that locals frequent this place. Don’t be deterred by the outside appearance as it looks very confusing especially with the pizza place and cafe next to the sushi spot. It’s an assuming vibe but legit quality. Bonus: in chatting I learned that there are Nepali chefs in the kitchen and if I ordered a day ahead they can serve up some incredible curry. No regrets and would be a local patron if I lived here.
